Humanitarian Evacuation on the Libyan Border
The MENA 3-Month Report highlights IOM’s response following the unrest in Libya since late February 2011. It details IOM’s wide range of humanitarian assistance provided to vulnerable migrants. More specifically, the report gives an update on the evacuation of thousands of stranded migrants in the country and at its borders with Egypt, Tunisia, Niger, Algeria, Sudan and Chad. The report also depicts the assistance provided to migrants arriving in Italy and Malta, and the assistance at transit and destination airports by IOM teams.
